Software Summary:
Cake
Pokers offers software with decent
functionality combined with beautiful graphics to
create an overall above average playing
experience. The avatars at Cake are modeled
from actual people, and enhance the 3-D look.
Lobby functions are very User-Friendly and look
really nice. Critical information is displayed in the
Lobby view such as flop% called, pot size
average, and hands played per hour.
In-room functions work well at Cake, offering all
the usual calling, raising, and folding options. The
stats features are also good. While the player
notes in one way are more difficult to use as you
have to choose from a list instead of just clicking
on the player, in another way it actually offers
more functionality than other sites as it comes
with a rating system and a better organized set-
up. The placement of the in-room info-bar with
the layered set-up is also top-notch, really
accessible, and really easy to use. There is only
one click needed to get into your hand history
which is beautifully displayed, and little touches
like that are definitely appreciated.
One trivial problem I have with the Cake graphics
is the way the chips display, which looks poor
compared to other sites, and relative to the rest
of the graphics on Cake itself. But no big deal.
Multi-tabling at Cake is just fine, offering up to 10
tables at once, with fine miniaturizing capability.
