Tom Dwan Makes 96,000$ Comeback in Durrr Challenge
Tom Dwan picked up 96,358$ in just over an hour against Patrik
Antonius, a week after suffering his 300,000$+ blowout.
This brings the totals to an Antonius lead of 391,704$
over Dwan, after 13,556 hands out of 50,000 played.
Antonius claimed the second largest pot of the session early on,
142,397$, when he managed to get Dwan all in with two
pair, to Dwans Queen overpair and flush draw. Dwan quickly
recovered though, taking a 120,000$ pot down with a nut
flush.(Antonius mucked) Shortly after Dwan took down
the largest pot of the night, 144,382$ with trip 9's,
lulling Antonius into multiple calls, and forcing to him to again
throw away his hand on the river. Dwan quit shortly
after, for a total of 61 minutes worth of play.
Both
Dwan and Antonius have expressed the desire to play some long
sessions in the near future. With the arrival of the
WSOP in two weeks, Antonius has said that he does not want
to play Durrrr Challenge games while that's going on. The
chances of their finishing any time soon are therefore
slight.
