NBC
and Full Tilt to Produce a New Show "Face the Ace"
NBC and Full Tilt Poker are cooperating on a
television show called Face the Ace, which is going to
offer qualifying contestants a chance to play top pros for
one million dollars.
The first qualifiers will be
flown to Las Vegas this summer for the taping of seven one
hour shows which are scheduled to air on August 1st at 9PM.
The contestants will have to choose between four opaque
doors, behind each of which will sit a Full Tilt top pro,
known as "the Aces". After choosing the pro, the constestant
will play him in a heads-up No Limit Hold Em match. If the
contestant wins they have the option to choose again and
play another pro and try to double up, or leave with the
winnings. Four pros must be beat to win the 1 million dollars.
The Sopranos Steve Schirripa will host the show.
Full Tilt Pros will include Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius,
Gus Hanson, Howard Lederer, Erik Lingren, Allen Cunningham, and
several others.
Contestants can qualify through
tournament series at Facetheace.com, and
Fulltiltpoker.Net.
